Last blog

Well this is my last blog!
Well the school year is almost over, prom season is in full swing, and people are finding their roommates for college (except me because I still do not know if I have gotten accepted!!).  The end of the school year is exciting and it’s crazy that people think that just because they have finished high school that their life is going to magically change. It’s not. If you never studied in high school, never listened in class, always feel asleep during lectures and never turned in homework you are going to do the same thing in college. So unless these people learn they will most likely just party their parents money away at some college where all their friends have all decided to go and room together. I know most people think that the first few years of college are to find yourself and all that nonsense but really if you don’t know who you are yet or what you want to do with the rest of your life you probably will just pick something that you will think that will be easy.

Well I am happy to be done with high school and start doing something that I know I love.  Also I will finally be getting out of Ohio! I am so happy about that. I have been stuck here for way to long. Yes I know that Avon Lake has good schools and test scores and all that stuff but really I think I could have done just as well at another school in a state I like but we moved here for my dad’s job. I am so grateful that my dad doesn’t have to worry about losing his job. But  I am finally getting  out of doge.

TEE

Well I just finished my last placement in TEE. Well I do have to go back to one of the ones I have already been to starting next week till the end of the school year but we do not have to write any more papers so I’m good with it. So all this week we are at LCCC to finish up our TEE binder that will be graded for college credit and our power point portfolio.  After this week I will be totally done writing papers for TEE!
Next week is when senior project starts and even though I am not doing senior project a lot of my friends are and they are really excited to be done with school in just about ten days. I wish I was done but I know that the last few weeks will go by super-fast because of prom and just the fact that so many people will be missing in school. I know I  will be doing just about nothing in school for the last few weeks because my classes have mostly seniors in them and I know that in every class I have at least a few students are leaving to do their senior project.
Well now I am going to talk about work because there is nothing else to talk about other than prom and I’m not really worried about prom. So at work we have the fire marshal coming in may so that means we have to move tons of shoes from the top shelves to somewhere else but the problem is there is nowhere else to move the shoes to. So we are all still waiting to see what

Mr. Jerry comes up with.

TEE and SUCH

Well schools almost over the students and teachers alike have given up hope on doing any work in school. This year has gone by so fast and I cannot wait till the end of my last final.
It’s always like this tho, after we come back from spring break the rest of the year is down hill. And being a senior I get out even sooner.
My fourth placement is almost over and so are the papers. After this placement we don’t have to do any more papers every week. With no papers for TEE I will have no homework at all. For our last placement we get to choose a past placement to go back to. I loved all my placements so much that I don’t know what one I should go back to. The preschoolers, fourth grades, seventh graders or stay with the eight graders. Well I still have a few days to decide where I want to go back to. But where every I do no more papers!

Spring Break….

Over break my family went on vacation down to Florida where my uncle has a condo that he lets us use. We stayed their all break and just layed around the pool and down by the beach.  We ended up driving down so we made good time because we missed the traffic. It only took us 20 hours each way, which is a lot less than the 26 it took us a few years ago when we went.

So Done With School

Everyone looks forward to the end of the school year but no one as much as seniors!

I know that I am looking forward to the end of this school year.

Too bad I still don’t know where I’m going. I have to wait till June or July to hear from PIMS and if I do not get accepted I guess I’ll just go to LCCC. I still haven’t decided if I am going to apply to John A. Gupton College in Tennessee.
Well at the very least I will be getting college credit for being part of the TEE program. If I end up at staying home (which would be cruel and unusually punishment) and going to LCCC I would get out of a lot of English classes. They also said I would get out of English at PIMS too which is lovely because it will save my parents money.

Let’s Talk about TEE!
Well the kids are very different than what I think my class was like when we were in 8th grade.
They are all so tall and I feel like a little person walking around.
They are also so crazy I cannot believe some of the things they wear!
But there still are the really nice and good kids who do not back talk the teacher
And do their work and take notes and turn in homework and follow rule and
Do all the things that you are told to do.
I am sure we were the same way in 8th grade but it’s just hard to believe!

College Oh My

Well I have to say I kinda feel like I missed the boat for college. My original plan was to stay home for my first two years and go to LCCC and then transfer to Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. But I found out that if I go out of state for mortuary science college I could start right out of high school and then be done will school in two year. I have visited many different mortuary science college and I feel in love with Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. The classes I am taking with TEE will give me college credit there too and then I will be able to get out of my English classes.
But see everyone has already applied and found out if they have gotten in to the schools they wanted but I am just starting. I know its not a big deal but I have to say I never payed any attention to what you need to do to apply for college, like all the scholarships and stuff. But I think I got a handle on it, well at least I hope.
So we have switched classes for TEE again and now I am in an 8th grade math class room. I had the teacher when I was in 8th grade and I always enjoyed her class and it is really cool being able to see a teacher teach students who are in the same spot you used to be in. And I really enjoy the class even though some of the students are a little difficult but it just makes the class more interesting.

OGT week GRRRR

Well OGT week is not as great for me as everyone else because of TEE. I love TEE but sometimes it really messes with my day. Because I passed the OGT my 10th grade year I should be able to sleep in but nooo I do not get to because I have to go to my new placement in 8th grade math.
I know I am gonna love the class because I loved the teacher when I had her when I was in 8th grade. But because of OGT week I don’t get to sleep in late like everyone else because I have to go to my placement in the morning.

I understand why the school has to move the times of the classes around but they really don’t factor the kids who do other things during the school day off campus. I know the kids who go to JVS also have problems all week because their classes at the JVS are at the same time as their classes at high school.
Well today I didn’t have to go out to LCCC so I got to go to my new placement and it was so much fun. The kids were taking a test all period but I got to grade some of their tests when they were done. Also I was helping the teacher set up for PIE day. Which is this Wednesday March 14!! Everyone should eat pie to make their day better!
Gotta say I forgot about this blog and I feel silly doing it on my Friday night when there are so many other things that I could be doing but I gotta keep my grade so I can play with dead people.

TEE Student Life

Well my life as a TEE student is always an adventure.  I am
currently in my third placement where my day
to day tasks involve grading papers.

But in my other placements I had to work with wet sand, paint, glue, food, and all sorts of stick stuff that no matter how hard you try always ends up on your cloths.

I have to say it is a little more fun to get covered in kid’s crafts then ink from papers and pen.
My day is not just filled with TEE but also with a job I love (even though I trying to find another one). As you can tell I like to stay busy and I can’t stand not having something to do. Stilling still even watching TV makes me go crazy so now instead of watching TV I go to the gym! I like working out it’s just not fun to go at 5 am before school every day. But I do it anyway And when I do have time to still down I due puzzles.

My days are crazy my work load is heavy but it’s all worth it. I love the class I have in my last semester senior year, my job and the TEE program and all the students I get to see everyday. Even thought I spend many nights staying home to finish papers, questions, and blogs I know that I am way happier being busy then doing nothing. Every know I accomplish so much.
